The Challenge
An ageing access control, intercom and cctv system that was beginning to fail on a regular basis, causing the customer many headaches and causing local traffic chaos when the vehicles backed up unable to enter site and tailed back on to the main road.
The Solution
Red Technical Services experts recommended, designed and fitted a new TDSI Desfire (highly encrypted) access control system that integrated ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras that would recognise permitted vehicles and automatically open the gates as they approached, whilst also registering each vehicle as they exited the premises.
New 4K cameras were fitted around the entrance areas and video intercoms added to allow the tracking and authorisation of visitors to enter and exit the premises.
The recording platform was also updated with the integration of some of the existing older cameras to work alongside the new 4K cameras and thus allowing the customer to upgrade to a full 4K system in future whilst reducing the initial cost.
The previous system was almost 20 years old and had been struggling for some time, I was very impressed with how the new system was demonstrated and subsequently installed and handed over. The ANPR makes vehicular entry at rush hour a quick and painless experience. The image quality on the new 4k cameras is exceptional and am looking forward to working with Red Tech on further upgrading the rest of the site in the near future – Site Manager
